My favorite email client, Mozilla Thunderbird, has been updated to version 0.6 and is now available for download. Over the previous versions, I’ve noticed it’s much faster, has a new icon set courtesy of the fantastic Jon Hicks, and tons of bug fixes. Release notes for the new version can be found right here. Mozilla Thunderbird is a free, open-source and cross-platform mail client and news reader for most modern operating systems including, but not limited to, Windows, Linux and Macintosh. It offers some advantages over other mail clients, including junk mail classification. Built from Mozilla code, Mozilla Thunderbird uses Gecko, the most standards-compliant rendering engine in existence.
