When reading the news stories on CNN and ABCNews, they talk about how NASA was sent back high resolution pictures from the rover, Spirit, on Mars. Stupidly enough though, both CNN and ABCNews had the picture available in just super small sizes, that would fit the screen of a PALM handheld, but looks like a postage stamp on my monitor. What in the world are they thinking?

Fortunately, NASA got a moblog (mobile blog) where they’ve put up the high resolution pictures for everyone to check out. The pictures are in uncompressed .tif format, so they may take a while to download if you’re on a slow connection. Although if you click on the pictures themselves, it’ll take you to a detail page where you can download the compressed .jpg version which won’t take long to download if you’re on a slow connection.
