About

Before I sat down to write a section about me, I thought it’d be good to have a 3rd person write this section, someone cool and famous, or something, yet someone who knows me well. I thought furiously, but couldn’t think of anyone famous or cool, but I figure my mom would be good because she knows me, and she’s a 3rd person. However, as she started typing out the section about me, Matt Burris, she started typing out all these embarrassing moments of me growing up. I don’t know about you, but I don’t want the world to know the special name she had for my poopy diapers, or what I used to cram into the holes in the back of the TV, or even the reason why the first girl I ever dated dumped me.

Therefore you’re stuck with me, writing out a biased, and possibly exaggerated About Me section.

About Matt Burris

For starters, I’m a person who lives with humor. In case you didn’t notice it on my blog, I tend to use humor as a life-giving energy source for myself, it’s also a shield, what keeps my sanity intact, and so on. I’m a self-learner, teaching myself anything I’m interested in. I taught myself how to take apart and build a computer, fix them, design webpages, and improving my English writing skills. I grew up gaming, and I am an avid PC gamer. My computer is kept updated to keep up with the demands of PC gaming, to ensure I can play all my games at the highest graphical details possible.

Growing up, I learned that good food is good, and is the one thing everyone in the world can agree on. You won’t find people going to war over good or bad food. Our tastebuds unite us. Now I teach myself how to cook like a professional, and while doing so, a whole new world of food has opened up for me, making me appreciate foods I took for granted before. My life goal is to experience all the food I can, from around the world; to me that is happiness.

About This Site

This site is a personal escape for me, a place for me to write my thoughts, and to experiment with my web design knowledge. I’m a big enthusiast of web standards, and ensure all my web designs are clean, usable, accessible, efficient, and pleasing. GoodBlimey! while an odd name, fits into my humor. While watching an Austin Powers movie, a particular line in the movie struck my funny bone, and it has stuck with me ever since. Anyone smell cabbage? Honestly, does anyone not smell that?
